I was going to leave this one alone and let those who have "been there, done that" answer. Then I read Chrystal's answer and really can't keep quiet.

She used the words choice, choose and preferences all in one sentence. I believe her heart is in the right place, but she (not the only one, of course) needs to be educated about sexual orientation.

Namaste,

As long as you continue to live with your parents you will have to keep things low key (at least around them or in situations that they may be aware of). Otherwise you could find yourself unexpectidly without living accomodations (some parents will throw their kids out).

As for everyone else - it is none of their business (unless they have been talking with your parents).

Be careful.

Your right, it's no one's business. However, keeping it hidden will do you more harm than good. When you actually come out is the time to let people know it's none of their business.

There is no need to share with anyone what your sexual preference is. Straight people don't go around telling people that they are straight. So there is no reason for you to share that your BI.

I'm gay my self and when I first was finding out that I was gay I shared it with the world. But things have changed since then. I no longer share it with people it's become a part of life for me. There is no need to. I'm finding out that people around you really don't care what my sexual preference is. Hope this helps!

Its only there business if you go out and tell them. Which was one of my biggest mistakes telling people that i was gay. Cause my grandmother told my father through an email i sent her when i told her to keep her mouth shut.

its not your parents choice but it may be their business... i say that because what if you find the perfect partner and you decide you want to spend your life with them.... then what happens? i never thought my parents would accept me but although they dont understand it they love and support my choice to be out. I couldnt imagine hiding my boyfriend from them.

its none of their business, unless you want it to be their business. you dont have to tell anyone that you dont want too, you could keep it inside, but eventually you'd want to tell.
