That would be fantastic!! I have thought the same question! Let write it together! Although Eway McGregor might be a little too old to be Charlie......hmmm...how about Zac Effron..just slap some blonde hair on him!

I didnt even watch the remake I was appauled that they even tried to remake such a classic film. Although I must admit that Johnny Depp was the perfect person to reprise Willy Wonka if it had to be done. I totally agree that Ewan would be perfect to be the adult Charlie. Good Question.

...though I've personally never read it, there WAS a book sequel to Roald Dahl's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", called "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator", with a premise even more outageous than the first story, so the possibility of a sequel is potentially open, if the cinematic powers that be, are so inclined...

I've read the sequel. Without the Chocolate Factory in it, there's just no magic.
