Okay, here's the question. Suppose your husband and your oldest (or only) child were drowning. You can save one of them. Which is it, and why?

You HAVE to choose one and only one.

As a Dad we'd make the choice for you..Save the kid!

My child and knowing my husband, I would suspect he would also be trying to save my child as well, and would be the reason he was in the water in the first place.

Do everyone a favor and jump in and drown with them. And after all if you think about it...its the right thing to do and no one is offended that they weren't saved and the survivor can never make you feel guilty for not saving the one who died.

How's that for well thought out?

Your only other recourse is let them both drown. Then you can finally live your life unburdened by a spouse who probably nagged, drank too much, didn't put the lid of the toilet seat down and was no doubt screwing your best friend anyway behind your back. The kid? Well...no more school clothes shopping in August. Less laundry and your auto insurance rates will stay minimal with the kid dead. Yeah...tha's an even better solution than drowning with them.

I would save my child, and I would expect my husband to save our child instead of me too.

I read somewhere that the right choice would be save the spouse. However my wedding vows stated "till death do us part" and i guess this would be the parting part!!
my child = my life!

i would choose my child. as bad as it sounds, that child is a part of me, we share the same blood. being an adopted child, my children are the only things that i know that are blood to me.

The child.

When you bring a child into the world, you and the other person are commited into raising, protecting and nurturing that child to adulthood.

I'd save my child. No question about it...

Men come and go, and he should be able to take care of him self... My child is my child, my baby, blood of my blood, flesh of my flesh... besides... I've lost both a man and a child before.. and trust me when I tell you, you'll be grieving the longest about the loss of the child than the loss of a man.

Blessed be...
