Okay lets start out buy saying you are not the first 16 year old to get pregnant, so everyone needs to just layoff for a minute.
No you should not have been having sex, yes you are to young, but like I said your not the first and it is not the end of the world.
Now as for you boyfriend, he was old enough to know what he was doing, and should have been smart enough to wait. What you need to do is both go and sit down and speak with your father. Tell him what your intentions are towards eachother and the baby, if you even have any. If you father decides to press charges, unfortunately you cant stop him if it is allowed in your state. I would just try to be honest and wish for the best in hopes of your dad.
Next you need to see a doctor if you decide to keep the baby. If you dont have insurance look up a good family planning state clinic in your area, you need to get prenatal care.
I hope everything goes okay.

your dad cant press charges on you, he can press them on the babys daddy. him being 20 he could possibly go to jail, because your still a minor. consent is age 16 but if the person is over 18 its rape, so yeah.

Everything I have found says that the age of consent in GA is 16. You shouldn't have to worry about legal problems. Tell your dad asap. He needs to know.
I've been where you are now. Hang in there. I wish you all the best.

okay im sorry and quite frankly i dont care if i get a thumbs down. its illegal. the age of consent is 16 BUT if you are not of age that does not permit a person of age to engage in sex with you. as you are still a minor. if he were your age or a year older that would be a diffrent story.
your still a minor. your father has that right to press charges on him. im 16 currently pregnant by someone who is 19. My mom is not going to press charges though. even though she can. it is often something brought up by docotors and many support groups to her. So please don't think he can't go to jail for it...because some one who was 18 got arrested for having sex with a 16 year old. and yes the consent of age was 16.. its how the law works.
Good luck

Do the child a big favor and give it up for adoption. I am so incredibly tired of hearing about kids your age having kids. If your 20 yr old doesn't marry you, I'm sure that the people of Ga will be supporting the both of you for the next 18 years. Such a stupid waste of a live -- I'm talking about your life.

The age of consent in Georgia is 16, so you don't need to worry about the Statutory Rape issue. The posters who are telling you it's illegal didn't check the state law first before opening their mouths and inserting their foot.
And I will spare you the lecture about an adult having sex with a child. And I will spare you the lecture about having unprotected sex.
Take care of yourself & your baby. Tell your parents. Finish your education.

I don't know about GA but in Texas it is. If the juvenile is under 17 and the boyfriend/girlfriend is more than 36 months (3 years) older then it is considered Statutory Rape.

If the sex between you and the father of your unborn baby was indeed consensual then no crime was committed. If you were the victim of a rape or sexual assult then yes charges could and should be pressed.
Sounds to me like all be fine, just tell your family you love this man and plan on building a life with him, and would love your families support.

Yes, it is illegal and they can press statutory rape charges on him...thing is they have to have witness to the crime and if you won't talk to police and agree it wasn't consentual then they have no case. When you tell your parents just make sure you have a well thought out plan and make sure the father is there. If your dad even suggests having the father arrested then tell him you are having the baby regardless and if he puts the father in jail then you will have no help meaning daddy will have to help. I think as long as the boyfriend shows he is willing to be a daddy then everything should be ok. Be prepaired for mad parents though! Good luck and congrats!!
