That's not the way it is. Parents are only trying to protect their children. They have done bad crazy things and have had to live with the choices they made. Parents just want to protect their children so they will have a better life. Parents don't tell their kids not to do this and that and the other to punish kids, or make them mad. They do it so maybe their kids wont have to suffer from the same mistakes they did.

This is a scary question. My 14 yr old daughter is going to race on the fast track in Willow Springs international raceway in Feb. She just got her leather's & a sponser as well. I use to race street bike's but she's going pro. Yes I'm worried but I rember how much I used to love to ride. Still do.

Parents worry about their kids. They don't want to see them get hurt or god forbid killed. I hear adults say that they can't believe the things they used to do. The thought scares them.

It's not that we don't expect it. It's that we remember what the consequences were, and we want our kids to suffer as little as possible.

We want better for our kids.

We want them to learn from our mistakes.

There's a lot of things I DIDN'T do that my kids don't do now, so I guess it pays to have lived a (relatively) clean life.

What I tell my kids is this: "What I did when I was your age is between me and my dad. What you do is between me and you."

I hate to play the "you'll understand when you're older" card, but you'll understand when you're older.
