Some Gods, not the God of the Old Testament. I'd say Hitler possessed more love than the archetype of Yahweh. I'm particularly found of some of the Hindu incantations of God myself, and Hinduism is the oldest still practiced religion we have texts of.

God IS love. And nothing can seperate us from that. Yes, bad things happen- look at Job for reference on that, but God does show love to all everyday. There is always someone worse off than yourself. For those with health, visit a terminally ill child in the hospital. For those who are terminally ill, visit the lonely guy that lives in the alleys and has to dig for food in the trash (the poor can also learn from this guy). Look for the good, look for the positive.

There must be, because Love is a relational thing, between sentient beings. God loves us, hates us, or doesn't care.
Now you can speculate your ***** off and I won't enter into that. Or you can ask whether God has revealed anything about His nature to us -- and then you get the Biblical : God so loved the world .... !

If you mean between "belief in god" and love, then yes, both impart feelings of comfort and accompanyment that are soothing in an otherwise terrifying world.
