i always hang out with the preppy kids and my family is really wealthy and many people dont portray hispanics as wealthy people. To all my friends they dont see me as nothing but, a preppy rich kid like them. what should i do? just let it slide or say something?

If your question and explanation is a fair sample of the way you "talk English really well", no need to say anything further. I imagine they know. I also think about 1/4 to 1/3 of California is Hispanic these days, and I'm sure there are all classes of people in that group, so you should fit right in.

Does it matter to you what ethnicity you're seen as? Isn't that like saying skin color matters?
Do your friends not know you're hispanic or something? If you want them to know, tell them. Even if it doesn't matter, you can still tell them.
It's not bad for people to /think/ you're anything. I'm Korean/Polish/German, but a lot of people think I'm Chinese - I don't usually even mention it until they ask if I AM Chinese. I understand that there are physical similarities when it comes to my facial features, and as long as they don't judge me because of how I look, I really don't care.
I guess if you're trying to say "see, Hispanics can be wealty too" or something, I don't really see why it's a big deal...

Be proud of your hispanic heritage, so mention it from time to time in discussions. Also the people seem to have a positive bias toward you, use that at your advantage and to that of others by slowly changing the way they think about hispanics.

First let me start off by saying don't lose you be proud of your heritage and background... There is no different maybe people don't think that you are white maybe they just don't care what your ethnicity is you know? I mean be proud of who you are don't try to be white or act white.... I am white and I think that all people should embrace who they are and I believe that we are all equals in this world none of us are better than anyone else if I were you I would say something if someone says something about you being white BE PROUD~~

if it bothers you then you should say something...about it...maybe you should try to inform yourself more about your Latin heritage...There is so much diversity and wonderful things there that you might want to explore. Plus if your gonna say something or represent your heritage you need to know about it before you even come up saying something...you don't want to look a bit unsure of what your talking about.

It dosent matter what others think you are...you are who you are, and as long as you are being yourself, then it dosen't matter i f you fit into the stereotypical image of what people think a Hispanic should be.
