But of course. This was something that was personal between his daddy and Bin Laden.....

You bet he is... he never could do anything right.. so he just passes it on.
Then the holier than thou Republicans will sit back and whine and cry and criticize when the Democrats have to do a lot of unpopular things to try and get this country back on track. The cons did it before.. they will do it again.
They are a do nothing party. Lot of big talk, absolutely no action.
And did anyone hear Bush in his speech this morning whining, as usual about why the U N isn't doing more about Afghanistan.. hey I thought that was what the U.S. was supposed to do. Didn't Bush figure it was all fixed there.. isn't that why he went on to Iraq.
What a clown and liar. I will be so glad when he is gone.. I just wish he could be prosecuted for some of his crimes. Every time he says he is doing this that or the next thing because " the American people want it".. I wonder just who in hell he is talking about.. what America is he living in. He is pretty much universally hated except the really weird Republicans and his crooked buddies!

President Bush doesn't control that; it is managed by elections and the inability for a President to serve more than 2 terms. Whoever is elected in November 2008, inherits the issues.

I don't see how he couldn't, frankly. A mission like this takes more time than can easily be predicted (I don't want a permanent occupation, either!), and this seems to be quite incompatible with this country's increasingly impatient attitudes toward just about everything. The war definitely won't be over for the start of the next administration; so be it. If we're going to do a job, we need to do it thoroughly, as has been our modus operandi through our whole existence; if this tenet has suddenly become invalid, we can just add it to the rather ponderous list of things that will eventually contribute to the country's downfall.

Things are going so well in Iraq that the military is considering troop reductions in Iraq and increasing our military presence in Afghanistan.
By the way, I understand that we still have troops in Kosovo.

What has he produced that anyone would want to take credit for? Hopefully, the next president, someone who is not a corporate pimp perhaps, will be wise enough to guide us out of the crap pile he's made, but the damaging effect will likely be with us for decades. Way to go, Busche and neoclowns.

I can't believe the ignorance of these answers. There is a time in history when a man put to death 6 million people. I don't think we would like that to happen again.
Hillary also said her and Bill would fix our medical insurance system within 90 days. What happened there?

No problem. Hillary has promised that we will be out of Iraq her first year in office.
Of course, she also said she couldn't promise we'd be out by the end of her second term.
But I'm sure that whatever she actually meant, it must be the right thing. She's a woman running for President ya know. Don't vote against her, that would make you a chauvinist!!

Too funny! Do you really think we will be out of there before the next President takes office?

Yup! He will leave office believing that he was just great and damn near perfect. He thinks that future historians will praise him and the current problems will not be a determent to his future glory and praise.

He's made his billions off of the war already, he's probably excited to dump it on the next president.
