Everyone complains about our national debt, yet they act as if the government will solve our problems. My grandparents lived through the depression and paid very little in taxes for most of their lives. They saved for their own retirement and purchased their own health insurance. If you could keep half your taxes, you could easily pay for health care and retirement, so why do you want someone else to do it for you? Do you trust that they'll do it better for you? Do you believe they are smarter than you?
A fiscal Conservative. Don't throw Bush at me. He's a spender. I don't have a party right now. Clinton's National debt was 5.5 trillion, but all we hear from the socialists are his reduction of the deficit. Of course the deficit shrinks when the economy booms. He was lucky to have that Tech Boom (which was ultimately a hoax).
We need a new party!

Withluv7: Nice. Calling people uneducated because their beliefs differ from yours. The larger government gets, the less free you are (unless you're one of the leaches...and I do not mean the old, sick or blind).

It is due to a new trend in today's society called "I take no responsibility". The culmination of the this trend was Hurricane Katrina. Why is it that the year before, when four or five hurricanes criscrossed Florida in a six week period, we heard no crys for government help. But Katrina was all the government's fault. I am sorry, but if I lived in New Orleans, saw a category five hurricane was headed my way, I would be leaving, not waiting for someone to come get me. Now, there are those instances where people needed help, sick and elderly, but based on the images from the Superdome, there was a lack of elderly.
Also, the first answer to your question should shed a little light on why people want government help. She calls those of us who wish for a smaller government and less intrusion into our lives uneducated. That speaks volumes about the poster's mentality.
For the record, I am a conservative Libertarian.

If there is a God in Heaven a Democrat will win in 2008...because I am soooo sick of hearing all these whinny a** democrats b*tch about how Bush ruined the whole world. I cannot wait to see all the miracles that said democrat will perform. Because we all know the President of the United States has supernatural powers. I mean since Bush is responsible for every evil that's happened since the beginning of time...surely the Heaven sent Democrat president will be able to end world hunger, bring peace to the world and make sure that gas goes down to 10 cents a gallon in the first month! (In case you are a blind-to-the-truth, believe-what-I-want-to-believe Democrat...I'm being sarcastic).

If I had the power, I could slash the Government budget in half over night. Reduce the payroll by 3/4s and give back many of the rights that States have had taken away over the last 45 yrs. Sure people would be in shock. Sink or swim.

No one I know wants more government.
Everyone I know wants much less government.
The NAU agenda must bankrupt the dollar to make way for the Amero. Hence the fiscal conservatives spending like drunken sailors on shore leave, the lack of border security, and the illegal alien welcome mat at the white house.
Both parties have thier own interests in mind-not the citizens of our country. A vote for either party is a vote for unconstitutional global socialism.

yes a new party with the goal of making us all money. I'm a greedy Bastard and i'm willing to bet there are more americans like me. We need a party that will make us all money, not to be politically correct, not to complain and moan, not to waste our money on socialist systems, but just to make money. I'm a big supporter of small government leads to BIG MONEY.
and on a seemingly unrelated side note, no respectable left-leaning environmentalist should complain about the price of gasoline. Let companies drill our resources and the price will drop.

There are a lot of Americans out there who aren't whining.
But there are a lot who are, but don't like to admit it.
I believe spending money on a war that is keeping jihadists out of our backyard and away from our people is worth every dime.

The focus of republicans is so limited that the blame game on Clinton serves as a distraction of what Bush is messing up. It has always work because republicans have less education and lower IQ's. Thats what attracts them to the party. THey really dont understand or grasp whats going on because of their lower mental status so they easily believe lies due to lack of knowledge.
