It's very rare for old age to ever 'set in' - in the eyes of the beholder. I just had a friend die at the age of 89. He was stooped, wrinkled, forgetful and decrepit in most every way.
He was a menance behind the wheel, and on the roads. But he was sure he looked "like I'm only 70!" (he didn't). He was certain he was going to live to be "at leat 100, maybe more!"
He flirted constantly and had genuinely high hopes that he would get another wife someday. He was a multi-millionaire, but he never spent any $ on himself because he "might need it someday, when I'm really old." [He was SERIOUS!]
At least in the eyes of the beholder; old age does set in until you're ready to close your eyes and die. And many of us, blessedly, never experience a day like that - he sure didn't! He died in his sleep, RIP.......... :)

When your body decides what you'll be doing for the day. (Mine does and I'm only in my early 20's, along with a few gray hairs to match!)
