Yes. Some people seems to be more worried for other people's salvation than their own. It is a new weapon of Satan. You will see extremist Christians, Muslims, Jews and even Hindus, worrying to change the beliefs of othres, rather than minding their own religion.
As far as I know, there is no preaching in Islam. One must practice his religion. When people see you a practicing Muslim and a benevolent, sincere and helpful individual,
they would naturally take interest in his beliefs. The largest
Muslim country today is Indonesia. Not a single Muslim Army or king invaded it. But the whole nation coverted to Islam due to selfless services of Muslim saints.
Jesus Christ converted people to Christianity by helpng the helpless and serving the poor. In sharp contrast, you see today's priests lending support to colonial powers and accompanying with invading armies to the week and destitute
nations. Hate begets hate!
The world will become a much better place if we respect each ohters beliefs. Holy Quran teaches a golden principle.
"For you is your religion and for me, mine"
I think it can become a guiding principle for relations between nations and individuals as well.

Wow... I'm not sure how you can see her having a relationship with God as not having a life... If you don't like the things she is putting on her myspace, stop looking at it! All she is doing is expressing her love for Jesus, trying to spread his message through out the world... Exactly what she should be doing! Its really none of your business if you are that turned off by it.. Like I said, don't look at it if it bothers you that much!

I have no respect for anyone's dogmatic spewing of any information at me. Christians, Republicans, Advertisers, Bosses, Democrats, Muslims, Patriots... they are all equally annoying, and equally wrong. The only person I will ever take seriously in a conversation is someone who does not classify themselves as a member of any pre-existing school of thought. Everyone else is a brainless propagandist.

Maybe she does have a life and lots of friends, but you don't know her, so you assume that she doesn't. Maybe you need a life, after all, you are the one looking up this girl "without a life" on myspace and then talking about her on Yahoo Answers.

Sometimes. I try to smile politely and nod, and (this is important) limit my contact. If she's found something that helps her feel happy and fulfilled, then more power to her, because that is really hard to do in this world. But if she's obnoxious about it, like in your face or down your throat, then yeah, I do find it irritating. Extremists of any stripe make me very nervous.

A lot of religions put a lot of pressure on people to convert others. Also, to people that really really relally beleive, that is all they know. They cant carry on a converastion about anything else because tehre is no room for it in their life.
and lastly...why is this is beauty and style?

1st off, you posted this in beauty and style.
2nd, you should spell and grammar check before placing a rant, because not doing so makes you look ignorant.
3rd, nothing bothers me more than a person that is ignorant, and that is including overly religious people. At least they believe in something. Maybe you should listen, and she wouldn't have to repeat herself so much.

Why should you bash her? She's in love.
What does that have to do with not having a life? She 'doesn't have a life' because she doesn't share your beliefs?

The reason you don't understand is because you are not a Christian. If you suddenly would realize that Jesus died to save you from hell, it might change your opinion a bit.
What I find annoying is to hear atheists screaming their heads off about there being no God. Who in their right mind would spend his life fighting someone who supposedly does not exist?
