Two 'm-ism' words:
Multiculturalism and Materialism
We witness the purposeful dissolution of our traditions and culture.
We are too busy lusting after money and the 'inclusiveness' philosophy is a guaranteed paycheque.
There are powers within our civilization intent on destroying Christianity because they feel it is a 'patriarchal' system that threatens their individuality.

I couldn't have said it better myself my friend. When I turn on the radio all I hear is "BUY BUY BUY..your friends/family/lover WILL LOVE YOU depending on how expensive your gift to them is!". Honestly..a two dollor meal to a poor child will mean more to that child than a $200 gift may mean to a spoiled and materialistic teen. People forgot that its the essence of Christmas that makes it good. Its about showing people kindness, love and to understand them..thats what makes it so great. Like..there was a time when this girl opened a door for me and you could see it in her eyes and face that she really was showing kindness! I will *NEVER* forget that..and then (actually today) this girl gave me a chocolate lindtt or whatever. I could tell that she gave it to me out of love and kindness =) Thats what matters. Thats what matters people. My call is for everyone to not be materialistic because my philosophy is that even If I'm poor I can still be very loving and kind and care for others instead of myself. I know that I can be happier that that millionair. If you guys don't understand me than please see the movie: "Schindler's list" Please don't just read past this post and ignore it. Put some effort and watch the movie. You'll never forget it and I hope you can make someones life a little "fuller" this Christmas. Remember..some perfume or gift can't show any love. Only you can. See ya people!

I agree with you. People need to think about the actually meaning of Christmas. Some people just get so into the gifts and all that stuff that they forget about the real reason for the season. I think that believing in Santa is not bad especially because I have a little sister who is 6 and she still believes in Santa but she also knows that Christmas is for Jesus' birthday. We have explained Jesus in the manger, etc. I think that parents need to teach there kids about Santa but also about the religious part of the Christmas season. Kids need to learn that Christmas is about giving not just receiving. They need to learn that Christmas is a time to be thankful for what you have. There are too many spoiled brats out there but then again that is the parents fault for letting it get to that.Anyways hope you have a great Christmas. God Bless and Merry Early Christmas.

Sounds like you have to! Christmas is about being more kind and understanding. Relaxing and not dealing with people aren't in the cards really-but how you react to them is your issue. What do you see as the true meaning anyway-to me it is a time to do random acts of kindness and do extra specail things with your family. You celebrate the end of one year and the start of the next. Basically its all good. Maybe you should try to have more compassion for others and do some little ARKs of your own-give a toy to charity, offer to cover those extra few cents the next time someone in line ahead of you is searching frantically for a dime, hold the door for a parent pushing a stroller trying to get in the mall. If you want to see a change you have to be willing to be part of the change not just the one who points it out :-) Merry Merry...

What do you think is the true meaning of Christmas?
I believe it is the anniversary of our Savior's Birth!!! Plus it is a time for miracles, happiness, and fellowship. It is for small children to believe that this world is a good place after all. No it isn't about the gifts but it is about traditions with the ones we love. I love, love Christmas. I feel so close to my faith at this time of year and I also still have that same excitement seeing a Santa in a mall as I did as a child. Christmas means a lot of different things for different people. Merry Christmas to you!!!!

Not everyone has forgotten.
Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, God the Son.
The angel said to them,
"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."
And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:
"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."
(Luke 2:10-14)
With love in Christ.
