His wife, Jeri, being intelligent and beautiful, would do a fine job if she becomes 1st lady She would be at his side as an asset, not a liability. Her background confirms this, after working for the Senate Republican Conference and the Republican National Committee, she became a big-time political media consultant in Washington.

Fred had been single for a long time, about 17yrs, so likely one of the reasons that he didn't run for the 1996 nomination was that he didn't feel he could manage that endeavor as a single man. Now that he has Jeri and a family, Fred comes across better as a candidate.

Well ... I think any woman would make a better "1st Lady" than Bill Clinton!

There's nothing wrong with having a pretty lady in the White House, and I believe that she IS half the age of Fred Thompson.

Whether she is a dumb hottie or a smart cookie shouldn't matter. She's not the one running for election, and she's not the one who would be filling the office.

If Hillary is elected president, do you think that as "1st Lady", Bill Clinton would be able to keep his mouth shut or keep from interfering in the workings of the oval orifice? Hillary had better get all MALE interns.
