I've tried so many different kinds, it's getting frustrating. The pill is a pain in the rear, having to remember to take it at the same time every day. The shot gave me horrible side effects. The patch wouldn't stay on for the whole week. So I'm thinking about the Nuva Ring. Anybody have good or bad experiences with it? Or any other kind of BC? (Besides condoms of course).

I tried Depo and HATED it! I gave it 6 months before I couldn't handle it anymore. The awful side affects far outweighed the convenience!

ilove2lowerlips, don't be ridiculous. Everyone knows pulling out doesn't work. And in case you didn't know, you can still get pregnant from unprotected anal if the semen drips into the vagina. Also, that can cause infections. If you don't have a serious answer, then don't answer at all.

Woah, 29% chance of pregnancy with the foam! I'd feel like I was inviting a baby right in. Plus there are no Walmarts where I live. Thanks though. Really I'm looking at hormonal BC mostly. And personal experiences, not just sites with info.

If I were you i'd look into getting an IUD.. they are less hassle, you go get one put in once every 5 to 10 years depending on which one you choose. They are more effective than the pill, and with less side effects.. because it is located closer to your uterus the side effects are not as bad as other birth control (or as hormonal) birth control.

def worth looking into i have heard nothing but great things :-)

I tried the NuvaRing. It's great if it fits you well. It kept on slipping out of me the week before my period, though, and having to put it back in all the time gave me more frequent yeast infections. You can take it out for an hour to have sex if it bothers you or your partner then.

i'm on nuvaring well this is my first month on it i had it in for 3 weeks and just took it out last saturday so this is my "week off" but i have not had any bad side effects from it just slight headaches and a little moodiness my bf says that he can feel it during sex but it doesn't seem to bother him....i can't so that's good umm and it hasn't slipped out so overall i don't have anything bad to say about it you can't feel it once you put it in and you don't have to remember a pill everyday so i highly recommend it good luck!

I hear good things about the Nuva ring, I just want to warn you to please do not get the depo provera shot.

Here is a great site to review birth control methods:

(and google depo provera lawsuit).

I am on Kariva right now for at least two years and have had no side affects, I love it!

I just use Vaginal Contraceptive foam...you put it in like 15 min before you have sex.... No side affects...its nonhormonal...it works as a lubricant as well. Its not as effective as the pill or some other methods...but it is pretty good as long as you use it right.

You can get it at walmart.
