I 'll thank my boss & tell him that he's the best boss I ever worked with & also thank him for giving me the oppourtunity & privilage to work & learn from him.

At my old job, the owner kept a box of baby wipes in his office at the suggestion of my dispatcher. He told the owner that if he ever hit the lotto, he'd jump up on the owners desk and drop trou to take a giant dump on his desk blotter. Luckily we were a very casual workplace where that sort of joke was taken in stride.
I will say that the look on the dispatcher's face when I handed him my written two weeks notice that I was quitting, to become a stay at home dad, was absolutely priceless!

I couldn't quit because I'd be letting down the old folks that I care for. My colleagues are also absolutely knackered and sick of their lives so I couldn't let them down either.

I'd hire some agency staff and take us all away for a fun holiday together before going back to work.

I'd get bored if I was sat at home all day anyway.......that's why I'm on here answering questions :-/

I like my job OK, but I really like my bosses and coworkers. If we're talking millions here, of course I'd quit. But I'd give proper notice, thank them for employing me, and throw them one kick-@$$ party. Never hurts to show some class and have some fun. Plus, when I lose it all in this nightmare of a stock market, they'll have to take me back.

I like my boss I would just say hey I won the lotto so I dont need to work here anymore, but I would probably help them find/train someone new then quit.

Dear so and so,

I won't be at my desk for a very long time. How long, you ask? You'll see. How will you see, you ask? By sight. What's this about, you ask? Wasn't there always a little thing you always told me about how "I'll find out along the way how something works out or whether it even does"? You'll find out.

Sincerely,

Meg
