This actually may yield no valid results, but I was just wondering.
How many out there that are conservative, had liberal parents, and vice versa, how many liberal folks had conservative parents?
I actually have a mother that is a Clintonista, LOL!
My dad is a blue dog democrat.
I'm a fairly moderate conservative.

I am a Moderate Conservative as well, and both of my parents are bleeding heart libs!! This apple fell FAR from the tree!!

Growing up my mom was very liberal (what i now would call a feminazi) and my dad was moderate. Dad became more conservative in the 80's listening to Limbaugh but was more liberal later in life until his death. I have been conservative since I was about 20 but now consider myself a neocon.

My father was a career Military officer and is about as solidly conservative as they come. But he never carried a torch for the conservative movement and in recent years has been appalled by policy and action that is labeled 'Conservative'.
I was once a Republican, but it was never that good a fit. In the 1980's as the Republican party was hijacked by social conservatives, it was easy to switch to Democrat.
One thing I wonder about. My generation (I am 50) came of age in an era of protest and political unrest where conservatism was in solid control and took the lead in preserving social injustice. Peoples eyes were opened and things changed. The conservatives lost the day. But now, that same generation seems more to the right than ever and their children, now coming into adulthood are just as conservative. It puzzles me and scares me.

My parents are conservative. In my ignorant youth I was a liberal Democrat. Today I'm a conservative Republican, even more of a conservative than they are.

My mom is liberal and my father is conservative. But, my mother doesn't actually do her homework; she just votes party line.
This year she is retired so she has gotten a little more fiscally conservative.
I am a conservative, but I don't vote a specific party. I vote the individual.
