Do people know what the word friend is really about?

...nella mia vita ho dato tutto per questa semplice parola... amicizia... 8 lettere che racchiudono un mondo intero... fatto di sorrisi, lacrime e infiniti colpi di scena...
L'amicizia è qualcosa che se la si ha è meglio non perderlà... poichè soli si finisce per star male... ma non bisogna dedicarsi poi neanche così tanto ad essa... poichè appena può ti tradisce...
Avevo un amico... siamo cresciuti insieme... e giuro sul mio nome che non gli ho fatto mai niente di male... un giorno non l'ho più visto... tutto finito... senza neanche una spiegazione...
Solo dopo... vengo a sapere che esce con un altro gruppo... bè... almeno poteva dirlo... gli avrei detto "ok tranquillo, tanto noi ci si vede lo stesso"...
Ma che ci si pensa a fare... l'amicizia è così... è una cosa talmente rara che fino all'ultimo non sei sicuro di averla travata...

Friendship is knowing each other and trusting one another. Having good times together and sharing personal issues.

great question...
I think the friends I have had for over 20 years are true friends.. where you can not see them for 2 years, and then jump right back into the swing of things with them...
the others are usually from work or school, who you have to be with... they are there to pass the time.
