...why, you're talking about a very long-sought after sci-fi/horror cheapie, which is on just about every die-hard horror film lover's want list, including mine (...the film was never released on tape, nor DVD); the film is "Without Warning", from 1980, and it starring a plethora of veteran horror/character actors, including Donald Pleseance, Martin Landau, Jack Palance....and an early performance by David Caruso...

...in the film, a bulbulous blue-faced alien arrives on Earth, to hunt humans; his weapon of choice are these frisbee-and-fried egg looking parasites, which when landing on victims, instantly grow tendrils, which bury themselves into the flesh, and an absolutely outrageous-sounding, albeit gross sucking sound ensues...

...the film was a sorta of precursor to the "Predator" movie seires; ironically, the alien in "Without Warning" was played by Kevin Peter Hall, who would go on to play the alien hunter, in the first two "Predator" films...

all before the Alien vs predator . . . if you have seen AVP then you know that there are wierd alien things that may look like starfish, u were little
