Forrest Gump, of course. you shouldn't be comparing Forrest Gump with the different 2 advertisement movies. i do no longer tell great and Avatar as advertisement because of the fact of their sales. (if so, Forrest Gump is likewise contained in the real 20 all time maximum suitable sales). great and Avatar incorporate fairly some scenes that are made just to fulfill the audiences of diverse a while and expectancies. Forrest Gump is a action picture that teaches us the thank you to stay an suitable and worry-free life like that Feather shown in first and final scene. this is the main suitable action picture ever made. i do no longer think of Robert Zemeckis could have theory approximately attracting the objective audience whilst making the action picture.

Forrest is a descendant and namesake of Nathan Bedford Forrest, Confederate General and alleged founder of the KKK. The movie is fictitious.

Forrest was indeed named for General Forrest of the Confederacy (who was a real historical character) he was a member of the KKK.

According to the first scene, he was was named after Nathan Bedford Forrest of the KKK. I've only seen the movie, but here it goes:

He gave Elvis Presley his dance, not his name.

He ratted Nixon out on Watergate.

He handed a notebook to one of the first integrated students at the University of Alabama.

'Forrest Gump' has to be one of the poorest movies I have ever seen in terms of portraying History. Please, don't take this movie as an historical account of the U.S. in the 60s and 70s -- either read about the events or at least watch a few documentaries.

The 1950s were not 'Happy Days' either.

Those are fictionalized representations of actual events... so the EVENTS are true but they are presented in a fictionalized way because some facts are changed.

Um, I'm about 99.99999999% sure Forrest Gump wasn't named after anyone in the KKK. Also, Forrest Gump wasn't real. It's a fiction movie...you know that, right?
