I'd like to be a trainer or keeper, and my university doesn't offer zoology. What other classes/majors should I substitute instead of that?

I have a full-ride scholarship to this school, so switching schools is out of the question. My local zoo said that most zoos substitute degrees with experience.

Unless you earn your vet degree or earn an advanced degree in a zoological science (like ornithology, mammology, etc.) you will mostly scoop poo or be relegated to other remedial tasks.

Go to a different university. Study zoology and genetics.
Also zoo keeping is 99% janitorial. Get a job in a kennel.

take science type classes...biology, physiology, animal behavior, or any other animal science type classes your school offers. Also, if they offer ecology, environmental science, etc. these are good to take too. If they offer specifics such as zoology, mammalogy, ornithology, etc...take these for sure.
