When singing an old Rock n' Roll song in the car while going somewhere, change the words in the song to something goofy?
We changed the words, my nieces and I when they were in high school from "You can't hide your lying eyes" to "You can't hide your frying thighs" in the Eagles song. How about you? Which songs did you change the words to and to what?

What do you think of my version of the Eagles song too?

Naw, you had hotter chicks in your school. Chicks available in my school had sighing thighs.

We did that too, although I can't think of any particulars right now. A few years ago on a road trip with my girlfriends, I was changing the words to one song in my head, and got to laughing so hard I could barely breathe. I couldn't even tell them what I'd done, but at least I had a great time!

Although I can't remember what songs or words we sang or changed, I do so remember having such fun in the car with my best friend Mary. Her dad, who a was widower loved to sing songs with us all and we would raise a ruckus in the car singing our hearts out. To me, he was so cool because he laughed and sang right along with us. He was a special man who did many thoughtful things for the neighborhood and the kids. We in turn loved to hang around their house and we would help with little chores because he was so good to us all. He had a great singing voice and a contagious laugh. Sometimes he would buy us all ice cream. When I look back it must have been hard for him losing his wife so young.

Yep some people are really good at it.. I never was but always thought that others versions were hilarious.. and alot of the time.. dirty but funny... How about the songs or commercials you thought said something entirely different??
There used to be this car dealer commercial on when I was a kid.. the slogan song was "Go see Cal.. go see Cal ... go see Cal" I always thought they were saying pu$sy cow pu$sy cow pu$sy cow.... come to find out later.. so did alot of other people..

I like your version. There's a song by Rick Springfield called Jessies Girl that is very easy to change the words to. Basketballs is one of the words I have used.

My husband does that all the time. He likes to change the words to something naughty and sexual but funny. Of course that is when no kids are in the car. He is very good at it too and funny.

Your version of the Eagles song is great, Wally. I didn't 'change' the lyrics to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, I thought they sang 'sparing his life for his pork sausages' It was several years before I discovered it was 'sparing his life for his misogyny's'
And yes, I did do spell check but it doesn't look right to me!

I changed the words to "thank you for being a friend" (golden girls) while I was feeding my extremely picky cats:
Thank you for being a cat
traveling down the kitchen and back again
your bowl is full, but you don't want anything

that's as far as I got

My husband still does this all the time. When there are no kids around he gets frisky and risque with his lyrics. His fave of all time is Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog.
