I'm 29 wks with my first. I feel so antsy. I want her to come out already, but I still have awhile to go.. March 2nd.

My back is killing me! If I'm picking something up from the floor, all my lower back hurts as I stand straight again. My hubby can't massage my back because he's in Iraq :(

Going to bed is a nightmare, I'm tossing & turning for hours. I have 4 pillows all around me & just as I start dozing off, I HAVE TO PEE! So there I go to the restroom. It's like every 15 mins! I end up falling asleep until 4 am!

Now lately, my little girl has been stretching or I don't know what, but I feel a discomfort and pressure "down there" like she's going to come out. Does that mean she's dropped? Or what she doing in there?! Because I haven't felt the foot stabbing in the ribs anymore, and feel more movement in below my belly button.

Any advice or something? What can I do about ALL these things, besides wait? :(

*My mom told me to drink warm milk to get sleepy, but I find it nasty :|

I completely understand! I am 30 weeks and have a hard time sleeping, too. I make it a practice to not drink much after 7pm so that I don't have to get up every hour to pee. I still drink TONS prior to that as water is important. I take a warm bath for my back and that helps a lot. Just remember not to get the water to hot or stay in for too long. Have you tried doing any back stretches? They are great for working some of the tension out.

My baby is head down but my doctor said that she is still small enough to be able to move across my tummy but not likely that she would completely turn. I have actually started feeling those toes up higher and , like you , more movements lower. We're almost there!

Have you tried an herbal tea before bed? There a plenty that are caffeine free and very soothing. I like Sleepy Time tea by Celstial seasonings. Works like a charm!

Good luck! You are almost there, just keep doin' what you're doin!

Your mom is right...have something that will help you sleep..chamomile tea or milk...there isnt much you can do.

You are in the last and most uncomfortable weeks of pregnancy...not much to do but find ways to make yourself comfy and sleep when you can.

I found sleeping in a recliner helped. Sounds like your baby has turned head down..but that doesnt mean she's ready to come out...its just the first time you have felt that kind of pressure and your nerves need to adjust.

She may flip back around and you'll have to do it all again when she gets ready for birth.

Hang in there.

try taking a warm bath to relax. My doctor told me it was fine to take a teylenol (sp?) PM to relax at night and sleep better. Check with yours to see if that is ok for you. I really helped me. I didn't take one everyday, just about once a week and it made me feel really better. I haven't found a cure for the back and pelvis pain, Just hang in there. I am 39 weeks and 5 days today and i kinda just learned to live with the discomfort....

no one said this was going to be easy....but from what i hear the reward is the best ever in the end.

Though all of those things are a nuisance, I loved being PG; I just concentrated on all the good things. And did what ever I had to, to get comfortable so I could sleep.
It took me 14 years to conceive, and I thought I never would. So maybe that made me more appreciative and/or patient with all the inconveniences of being PG.
Be thankful, you could of had fertility problems and not been able to conceive.

Your body goes through a lot of changes before labor happens. It sounds completely normal to me. You are probably just carrying her low. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was the same way with the pillows! I think I had like seven! As soon as I would get them the way I wanted then I would have to pee! If you are real concerned call oyur doc and get in to see them. They will be able to answer all of your questions:)
