actually you probably want to wait until after you miss your first period.... or on the day you would have had your period at the earliest - unless you don't mind paying for more EPT tests :)

You can test as early as five days with some tests but the tests are still most accurate when used after a missed period. If you test early and get a negative, you will have to test again if your period is late. It's best ( and less expensive) to wait until a few days after your missed period.

good luck!

Wait at least until your missed period. I did some of those "early tests" advertised on TV (up to 5 days before the missed period), they were all negative and I was pregnant. Tests started being positive after my missed period.

Like many have said there is a test that says you can test 5 days before your period is due. The most sensitive test will be the serum (blood) test. If you want to use the urine test make sure you test first thing in the morning- the concentration of hCG is highest in your urine then.

Some claim you can take them a week before your missed period. It all depends on you and how much HcG (pregnancy hormone) your body is producing. My test didn't show positive until 4 weeks after I had my period because I had low HcG levels. Some people can take them as early as a week before. Good luck!

If you want to get a clear answer and to be sure then my advice is not to do before, even after you miss your period it takes almost 10 days or hormouns to show pregnancy.

I suggest wait for ur due date and then test it 2 to 3 days after due date.Bec the Hcg level may be low before due date for the home tests to coem positive.

you can use a first response test up to 5 days before, but if you are pregnant there is only a 60% chance it will show up that early. you are better off waiting until your period is due.
