I agree 100% and my conclusion is it's over rated now and everything christmas wise i.e decorations, adverts, ect starts in about november. When i was a child the build up started about 2-3 weeks before and it was great. Im excited about xmas for my little 4 year old, but it still isn't the same. x x x x

For most people when they get older and face more and more responsibilities every year...we lose the magic and spirit of Christmas. When we lose our innocence as a child, Christmas feels less like Christmas. Trust me, you are not the only one to feel this way. I absolutely love Christmas but I don't feel the joyous spirit of Christmas as much anymore.
I have a theory that maybe because people are less kind and giving nowadays. No one gives a gift because they want to make someone happy, they give a gift to receive some kind of reward. Not all people are that way, but a pretty hefty chunk are...
Try and have a Merry Christmas anyway, and a Happy New Year!

Because in all the hype and materialism, we forget what the Christmas Spirit really is. Christmas can not come in a box or gift card, it comes from your heat and soul. Take a moment to yourself, walk outside on a starry night and breath in the cold air. Think of the things that mean the most to you, and how thankful you are to have them. If you are a Christan, then sit back, light some candles and give praise to the Lord for the joyous time of year, and the wonder of that first Christmas so long ago.
Happy Christmas to everyone.

The getting older bit is probably true, to a certain stage. Then you get married, have kids and it starts all over again. Even in old age Christmas has a certain magic about it,
Just try and cast off, leave your problems behind for a few days, tuck into your pudding and Believe.
You'll catch that Christmas star again, trust me.
A Merry Christmas.

Do something nice for someone other than your immediate family or friends. Drive around and look at christmas lights. Watch your favorite christmas movie with your favorite person. DO something like sledding, make a snowman, ski, or whatever you did when you were on christmas vacation when you were a kid. Smile and be friendly to everyone you meet. Give it a shot it's better than feeling lousy about the season.

My guess is you are not doing anything to make it feel like Christmas. If you don't put forth the effort then how can you feel the joy?!? I get my spiritual feelings every Sunday at church and then I come home and decorate the house and make gifts and decorations. I am now baking and planing Christmas dinner. It's what YOU put in to it my dear. Now go have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.....

Because Christmas has lost its original meaning. People can only associate it with spending money and getting stressed out.

i'm in an analogous concern! pay attention to Christmas song, take a holiday on your motor vehicle and seem on the snow exterior (if this is snowy) flow to the mall or some save with a great style of holiday decorations, devour holiday nutrients and beverages, beautify your place with lighting fixtures fixtures and different holiday-like decorations.
