my doctor gave me this huge pill that you push in to the private area due to bad thrush but people tell me this may start labor is this true? im 33weeks pregnant

no ! it is ur doctors job 2 outweigh the risks with the benefits the risk of premature labour with the pessery ('the pill you speak of) than the alternative cream treatment ! relax !

As a treatment for yeast infection, no, its not dangerous. Typically they have you use a 7 day over the counter treatment, but a one time insert is easier and far less likely to result in ruptured waters from the repeated inserting of the applicator.

Unless he inserted it so far that he irritated the cervix, or you were dilated (which he would have checked first) theres no reason it should do anything more than kill the yeast infection.

If you start to have hard contractions that dont stop when you lay down call the ER or go to the hospital.

Nah he wasn't wrong. And don't worry, it won't jump start your labor. Your doctor knows best and he's only looking out for you :-) But ladies, lemme ask this...isn't there like some sort of cream too to get rid of thrush?

No you can be treated for thrush it is very common in pregnancy and the suppository's will not start labor.

the doc would not give it to you if he didn't thin it was safe. if you are scared why don't you phone you doc back and ask him about it.
