So I ask you - how empty must a person's life be to report someone over and over and over and over solely because they do not like what they say.

Did you see any curse words in my response?
Did you see any yelling or insulting?
Did you see any violation of the terms of service?

No.

No, I do not click the "Abuse" key if someone posts something I dislike. I do not violate the Freedom of Speech clause of the Constitution. I am an American. I listen to all views of an issue. I have my own views and expect them to be listened to and respected in return.

I have the same problem as you. The people abusing "Abuse" claim that Yahoo is a private company, thus nothing can be done about the problem. I beg to differ with them. Yahoo is indeed a private company, but it is open to the public, to all ATT customers throughout the world. Because it is open to all, its rules should not be twisted to silence some posters for religious or political reasons.

I have a Hearing Ear Dog. My dog goes into stores that are privately owned, because my dog is welcome in any place that is open to the public. When rules are being abused and my dog is kicked out of an establishment, I can do something about it.

My civil rights are being abused on Yahoo Answers forum by a few people who have forgotten the Constitution. This is a way to silence the Opposition, but we must work to make these forums accessible to every political or religious view.. I have made several phone calls this morning and I will continue to contact people in charge.

I am angry, because my freedoms are being stomped upon by a group of people who may not realize the seriousness of what they are doing, but should know better! I feel sorry for the managers of Yahoo Answers, who installed an Abuse key to avoid obscenity, profanity or personal attacks. What has happened is that obscenity, profanity and personal attacks are ignored, while political and religious opinions are deleted!

The only time I report an answer is when it is obviously spam or is an insult to the person who asked the question.
However this forum does seem to generate enemies - so I am not surprised that answer was reported by a bunch of people.

Never have, probably never will. The only time I considered it, the question was removed before I could act. As for reporting an answer, never would.

I only report if 1) way overboard insulting 2) answer is 13 lightyears away from topic being asked.

To report your answer was lame+stupid and Yahoo was lame+stupid for actually deleting it

No, I only report spam.

I had an answer removed for "solicitation." Though I'm certainly not selling anything. That was about a month ago, I responded that it was removed in error and they're still "looking into it." And I'm still "holding my breath" - NOT.

I have only reported a few times and it was because someone was asking real perverse questions about themselves and animals, and another time because the person answering someones question just kept repeating curse words.

No I just usually post a thoughtful response and get a bunch of thumbs down.

The only time I have ever reported anyone is when it was an advertisment to do business with them instead of a true answer.

And I'll do it again.
