i've listened to just about every post-punk, experimental, avant-garde band their is of the 70s, 80s and early 90s, and early 00s. Does anybody have any rare gem bands they can tell me.

Why dont you try punk itself?

They are make great indie-punk psychadelic music

You can listen to
The Refused - they are a great hardcore punk experimental band.Their song "New Noise" is so far their best.

Siouxsiee and The Banshees- Hong Kong Garden, Metal Postcard are good songs..
Garbage- are a good indie electronica band..

The Cure
Public Image

X Ray Spex are a great punk band. Theyve got agression plus good music- their song Oh Bondage Up Yours! is great!!

Generation X- King rocker is their best song..

The Horrors (good garage punk band)
The Vines(good psychadelic rock)

Patti Smith - brilliant brilliant song writer- check out songs like Rock n Roll Ni.g.ger

Dead Kennedys- the first hardcore punk band to go out of its genre and try out loads of different techniques, check out songs like Holiday in cambodia etc..

Do check the songs and bands i listed.. i know its a bit messy but hope that helped!

PS- I COULD name more bands and song if you list some bands you already listen to?

Well, if your into that sort of thing try David Bowie, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, The Velvet Underground, The Kinks, Dream Theatre, The Who.

If not, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hawkwind, The Answer, The Doors. Rush, Pink Floyd.

I doubt you have listened to everything. If you like punk (not post-punk), there are many obscure bands, past and present.

Or you can try going back in time and listen to the music of before. The possibilities are endless.

I'm not even sure it's still available. I have it on LP from way back when.
