I popped on my myspace this morning and there was a message from a cyber friend saying she was deleting her myspace and going to kill herself.
A cry for help, sure ... but really, what do you say to a person who's that far away and in such a state?
Sure, the usual, god loves you and things are not that bad, but that doesnt help .. have you ever been in this situation?

I think back to some kids who killed themselves when we were younger and imagine, if I only knew I would do this or that ... now, in the situation, i cant remember a darn thing!

Hardest thing in the world to do, stop a suicide even for us that are professionally trained to handle such crisis. Even harder is trying to do it on the computer without the face to face interaction and not being able to prescribe drugs over this. No one not even God expects you to be able to save a suicidal person in person lone less on here.I have helped alot of suicidal people on here and have a 85% success rate on here which is damn good but not excellent. Most of what Ive learned about siucides is if the person talks about it they wont usually do it, its the quiet ones that you never would suspect that actually do it, but dont blame yourself if you cant help, we are only human with very limited resources.

if you knew what state she lived and what town, I"d of called the police in her town. It was a cry for help and by you calling the police cause you were concerned with her email then you'd only of been showing concern and have the email to back you up

I had a friend who confessed she was contemplating suicide by overdosing on pills. She lives 1500 miles from me. I called the suicide hotline in her state for advice. That was 10 years ago and she is still alive.

PLEASE!!! Call someone right away to check on her!!!!!

Remember the girl in the news recently who killed herself after being bullied on myspace? Please do not take this as a joke, you may well save a life. I'm begging you... call her parents, call the police..... do it now.
I'm praying for her.

yeah thats a cry for help - if it were real you are probably too late! (sorry to be harsh) give them a call and listen to them - they just need someone to say "i understand and everythings going to be ok"

All you can do is give her a link to the Samaritans and tell her to e-mail you if she wants. Well that's what I would do.

Let her do it!
I bet she's too chicken.
If she isn't, who the heck needs suicidal friends?
Did your parents teach you to hang around with mental losers?

Merry Christmas!
