Yes, it's a very pretty name and not overly common. It is Russian and it means pure. It's better than the more common Katrina or Katherine.

I think it's a pretty name, but people who like to tease might associate it with Hurricane Katrina, even though it's spelled differently.

It sounds a foreign name as in East European and it will bear that impression, if you are happy with that then the name itself is quite nice.

yes i think so. this is my nanas name so it is quite old but i like it i think it is unusual. who wants a name that everyone else has? be different. plus it can be shortened to kat etc. hope this helps x
