You can eat the mousse IF they use pasturized eggs...which I would ask them to do. If they don't want to then there are a lot of other yummy deserts that are easy to make. Chocolate cake (box or store), tapioca pudding, Chocolate pudding and cool whip, pumpkin pie (frozen), rice pudding, sweet potato pie, cheese cake...and the list goes on. I wish I was you though...I'm stuck in China for another Christmas and I don't get any variety in the way of desert. In fact I'm not even going to get a Christmas dinner for the 5th year in a row...I would settle for anything!!

During pregnancy it's recommended to avoid the following:
1. Anything containing raw egg
2. Soft unpasteurized cheese like Brie, Feta, Camembert
3. Deli meats and processed meats that contain preservatives like sodium nitrate
4. Certain types of cold-water fish such as swordfish and fresh tuna. Tinned tuna is OK.

Maybe you could see if the Egg Beaters (you know the liquid egg) is pasturized. If not, try another desert. Good luck!

if you trust your family to use fresh, quality produce then I would still be indulging in a little mousse! Not the whole bowl but a small serve!
Remember our parents and grandparents didn't have all these rules to abide by but we turned out alright didn't we?
