Nothing wrong at all. I think a lot of people feel this way. But your family and friends might feel uncomfortable to not give anything. I often feel that way at birthday and christmas. With close family and friends, I am honest - I say I would love a tiny little something (even just a bar of my fave chocolate), but that I would prefer my gift to be a charity donation, or that they buy something they need for their children etc. I try to achieve a balance between the fun of gift giving and keeping it simple. I wouldn't ever say no gifts at all, as people enjoy giving, I know I do! I just try to avoid it being an obligation. Better to give gifts during the year at random if you see something the person would like.

I have everything I need, not that there isn't things I want, but I don't need anything, so don't care about presents. My birthday is the next day, and don't care if I get anything for that either. A card is nice, and gives me pleasure. coffee, sometimes tea

No not at all. I feel the same way this Christmas. My mother is in the hospital and is not doing very well. That is where we willbe spending Chrismtas this year. I do not want anything materialistic this year at all. I told my daughter to plese not spend any of her money on me. I am very happy this year just getting for my family.

Me and my whole family stopped giving for Christmas. I only buy something for my nephew or the young ones in the family. Their really is no point to the holiday. The tradition part is cool but it has turned into a consumer holiday.

When I was a kid, they always insisted on giving me a doll. I hate dolls and always did. Only thing I ever asked for was a green corduroy robe, size 12. So my mother-in-law bought me a red one, size 18. I'll take a chocolate covered wiener or a pickled kumquat, thank you. My brother-in-law once made me shop for him, for my kids. He was very careful that year to buy for everybody in the family. Wasn't until nearly a year later than he realized he hadn't bought for me. He guilted himself over that to the day he died, but never did anything about it.

coffee, lots of it please

and yes, for the past 12 years I have had no desire to get anything. I have all I need or want. Except.....well, if Santa wanted to put a hot stud under the tree, I wouldn't complain

that's pretty much how i feel this year. i have too much crap as it is. if they have to get me *something*, then maybe more shelves to store all this stuff on. i'm 34 years old, my focus is on the kids and making sure their holiday rocks - not just in terms of presents, but in terms of decorating the house, cultivating the holiday mood, doing crafts together, creating warm feelings and memories for them.
