These internationalists have no allegiance to the Republic of the USA whatsoever. They even believe they are above international law. If any group should be labeled a terrorist organization, it is the CIA. How do you feel about it?

I know what your saying, however the state itself is basically an organisation that has a monopoly on the legitimate use of violence, through the use of the armed forces, civil service or state bureaucracy, courts, and police. The CIA is indeed a terrorist organisation, but all states have (and require) a secret service. Unless we rid the world of the tyranny of the state (i.e. political power), centralised, secretive and corrupt organisations such as the CIA will continue to exist.

Matthew> there is no concrete evidence that that is the case. People have lived in decentralised communities for most of history. The nation state is a modern invention. The argument that humanity is inherently 'bad' is often used (wrongly) to justify oppression and domination. Even if this were true it would hardly make sense to leave political power in the hands of the few.

I would get rid of them and start over - but I don't see what value the CIA is to the Republic and the American people.
It seems as if they act as a clandestine arm of American military operations. The CIA could not protect us against 9/11 and its crimes are manifest. When I think of the CIA I think of the Bay of Pigs, assassinated world leaders, democratically elected leaders overthrown and uncountable crimes.

Torture murder and mayhem are part of the human race. Face the facts! Just because you don’t see it every day does not mean it is not going on. (Thank a Soldier for that) It is common in the rest of the world. The USA and the world have a long history of it. It is about time we use it to our advantage and not receive it to our disadvantage.

The CIA is very much a great department of the national Govt.It has been performing very good job for our safety and collecting information about US interest and any threat to peace of any kind anywhere in the world. The question of disbanding CIA will never be entertained by any sensible Govt of this nation.

So, if the US government went to the international press and declared that the CIA has indeed been disbanded, would you seriously believe them?

Jr, EVERY country has an orgnization similar to our CIA. What do you think has kept us relatively safe over the years? Do you realize how much the inteligence provided by the CIA has HELPED this nation? Probably not. There is a reason why they are so secretive. There is a reason why they have developed tactics that they practice. You suggest that we disband them and make their practices illegal? Where then is our advantage over our enemies who are trying to destroy us?

There IS a need for the CIA. THey should simply be required in a somewhat civilised manner.

Yes the russians would love that. They would own the US in a matter of weeks. Only a fool or an enemy of the US would suggest such a stupid thing.
