I am interested in trying to get a law passed in the state of Kentucky. How exactly should I go about doing this? Who would I have to write? How can I get people to sign a petition?

I know nothing about this subject, so any and all information that you can give me would be MUCH appreciated.

It is best to start with your senators and representatives in state government. You are their constituent (you vote in their district, presumably) so they are more likely to listen to you and your ideas. Here is the web page to find out who are your designates:
