Was won by Hird and Voss (my hero).

Poor Corey, felt bad for him.

In 1996 Corey McKernan had the same amount of points as Jimmy Hird and Michael Voss but didn't win it.
In 1997 Chris Grant was the first player to be in front at the end of the night but not win. He polled 27 votes but Robert Harvey won it with 26.

In 1996, Corey McKernan would have been part a three way tie with Voss and Hird on 21 votes.
In 1997, Chris Grant polled 27, but lost to Robert Harvey with 26. Harvey called it a shallow victory, but came back to win with no challenges in 1998.

good effort forky, i can remember seein mckernan sitting in his lounge, when the telecast was on, probably him, plenty of countbacks where only one winner was given a brownlow, even tho they got the same amount as the eventual winner, later years were awarded brownlows tho.

heres one for you footy heads, the smallest amount to win was 4 votes in around 1930 i think, correct me if I'm wrong, 1 vote per game or something, Stan judkins, my great uncle told me that years ago, think it's true, seems a bit hard to believe.

Didn't David Rhys-Jones poll the most votes, but was ineligible due to suspension?

He had his own seat at the tribunal
