I need a Barometric draft regulator. Where do I put it. I have a in pipe heat blower also. Do I put it first thing out of the stove, or do I put it above the manual dampner, and heatolator.

Which is the best kind to get.

I figured it would go above the manuel dampner. I just wanted to make sure. The stove overfires, and I can handle it, but my wife is going to burn down the house.

I think there are few other things you need to consider. It is not suggested to install heatolators on the flue pipe. This can cool off the smoke/exhaust to quickly which then creates heavy creoste buildup, chimney fire and or flue blockage is likely to happen. As far as a barometric damper; these are installed for oil burning appliances, not wood. I would highly suggest not installing either item. Perhaps you think you need the barometric damper due to draft or draw issues? If so there are several other options to this correction.

Read the Instructions and Manufactures recommendations.
If these are not available. you might do a search for a website for the manufacturer. Or ask the dealer you bought it from. It seems logical that it would probably go above the manual damper.
