What is your favorite math topic? Why? I love geometry because geometric shapes are so beautiful and geometric proofs increase my attention to detail.

What about you? Tell me about your math experience and what your favorite math topic is and why?

well. maths is really good. i like it and geometry is also one of my favorite topics in the maths. i m'nt saying so bcz i want to get plus points for my answer.
triangle is one of my favorite in geometry.
it is the strongest shape as a base for the buildings.
triangle is the vast shape providing vast variety.
right angled triangle, isocles triangle, etc
love triangle.
life triange! u must have not known this triangle
i tell u about it.
life triangle has three corners. on one corner there is birth of life, on 2nd corner there is marriage, and the 3rd corner possess the death. if u know the topic integration u must have known about the limits. now the limits of the marriage corner are from 1--->n and the death corner possess the limit 1--->infinity bcz there is a life after the death which is never ending. i think u'll like it.

Integral Equations is my favorite math topic. For the following reasons...

When converting differential equations to integral equations, you actually eliminate some of the boundary conditions for the differential equation. Also, error accumulates when you numerically solve a differential equation, whereas the error is averaged out when you numerically solve an integral equation.

They look cool.

Uses a lot of concepts from math. Technically, the concepts I learned from 5 math classes come into play for the existence and solutions for integral equations.

FYI, integral equations are often solved numerically. If you ever taken a calculus based physics, then Gauss' Law is actually an integral equation. Due to symmetry, it simplifies out... to become an algebra problem.

By far the most interesting and enlightening moment was when I learned multivariable calculus.

Before the days of that, it was sort of given what a formula or this is, or that is.

But multivariable calculus provided me with the roots of those equations. The volume of a sphere, for example, can be derived its most basic component, through calculus.

I found that very cool. You might not, though =)

I vote with H T. Differential Calc was a watershed for me. The second derivitive gives the points of inflection. What? Every time? Holy smokes!

What you have basically reported is between the main insanely idiotic issues I even have ever heard. i like permutations and combinations. its cos there's lot to think over. every time the question is new and more imaginative. i like to take my mind in the worlk were the question was frames. its gr8!!
