Had the same problem in two residences!! We had to wait for the rain then get in the roof and check for the leak (turn power off first and use a torch!) Once you fix the leak all should be OK . At the second place (which was actually my work establishment) the leak souce could not be found!
Until the weather cleared up and they replaced some of the roof the electrician had to re situate the light.
So a quick answer is - find the leak first.
Good luck

Most probably the security light fixture has a leak and rain water is entering the fixture. Depending on the fixture it may need to be replaced or repaired. This shouldn't cost much and could be a do it yourself job if you are handy. Make sure you shut off the breaker before you attempt any repair. If you are not sure of your skills hire a professional.

I would suspect a leak, since this happens in heavy rain. You might want to inspect your house, or get a house inspector to help you.

You have a "short" somewhere. Don't hesitate to call an electrician. You could have a fire if you don't get this fixed
