Serena and Siena,which one is better?

Is Serena really mostly given to black girls?And does it hint that the family is poor?????

Like Serena Wiliams, the tennis player. It seems like a decent name but I have a few thoughts. Did you read freakonomics? In that book the author describes the naming difference between the rich and the poor, between different ethnicities. He says that when it comes to hiring someone, employers will tend to look for people who look like them. So, traditionally the companies have been run by rich white men and they tend to discriminate (willingly or not) the resumes based on the ethnicity of the job seeker. The first and last name can inform someone of that. Serena for example sounds like a name given mostly to black girls, so it may be a disadvantage when trying to get hired by a white person. But I can be wrong. And of course things are changing, so on the other hand it would be an advantage when trying to get hired by a black person. This is not really because of the skin color, but because of different subcultures that are difficult to integrate under one company's corporate culture. I don't have kids, but I would tend to choose a name that hints about that person coming from a richer family (even if it's not true) and somewhat ethnicity neutral.

I would spell it Serena and no its not terribly common but familiar enough that people have probably heard it before.
I think its a lovely name. Very good taste you have!

Serena is a really common Italian name. It means "quite, calm, peaceful".

no i do not think so, i think its a lovely name my friends daughter is called Serena, and shes fine, it does not inscent the family is poor.

i like that name my cousin has that name and no its not a common name and my cousin it half white and Mexican no it does not my cousin has lots of money so i don't no where you heard that from
