This question came upone because my brother appended a fake key for our Spyware Doctor 5.0. I am perfectly okay with using the trial one since I do not use it often but it was surprising that after I uninstall it and reinstall a fresh copy, the Key registration is still there.

I've already used CCleaner, Registry Mechanic, Advanced Windows Care; I even touched inside the regedit myself and delete Spyware Doctor folders there, even any files that pertains to Spyware Doctor.

But still, whenever I install a fresh copy of it, it was automatically registered and cannot get an update due to it was a fake key.

This issue is also applicable to Regustry Mechanic and any other softwares under http://www.pctools.com/

I would be needing your help about this.

The owner of http://www.pctools.com is a personal freind out of Australia. I can assure you that when your brother or for that matter any person who install a crack/serial into their software, their computers will know and they blacklist you.

You can go purchase the software and you will find that you are still "blacklisted". The purchased key will not work.

The serial/crack is in their computers and their server will never download you any updates. Usually they make it almost impossible for you to even delete Spyware doctor from your PC.

This will work: http://www.2shared.com/file/2628373/154cfb8/trial-Reset_30_RC9_Cnfanorg_-.html
1.Download it open it with Winrar
2.Click and open "Trial-Reset.exe"
3.Click on the "Protectors" tab
4. Go up to the 2nd "All", then click "Search"
5. Be patient and wait cos it will take about 15 minutes for it to search your whole system.
6.Once that's done go back to the "Protectors" tab, "All" and click "Clear", That will delete of all the program license.
7. Your done, that's it, the registered Spyware Doctor has been erased from your system.

My extra tip is even better: Go and download this free of charge: Spyware Doctor Patch works 100%, with working serial key tested by me $herwin, and lets you update without being blacklisted for using a fake:http://www.2shared.com/file/2628544/b090756a/sdpatch.html

Make sure you have deleted the folder to do with Spyware Doctor in C:\Program Files.

Search your entire PC for "Spyware Doctor" or their company name by going to start > search. Make sure you also search hidden locations.

Failing that, maybe do a system restore?

Start >Settings >Control Panel >Add/Remove programs... Maybe you can uninstall Media Player here, but in my opinion, it is better to uninstall it with a professional uninstaller as it will always leave some leftover entries on the PC if removed manually!
