Hahaha. I like this question.

Some are, I have seen it. Even guys who don't like to "characterised" are prone to it. It can make a man feel strong and needed when he can swoop in and "save" a "damsel". We are all nothing but mammals really, and it is a basic male instinct to protect members of the opposite sex, a basic human desire ofr the male of the species. For the guys who say no, well, I don't know what to say, but it's well doccumented in over 400 years of human psycological and sociological studies. Pick up any textbook on the male specimen, and you'll find volumes on basic human instinct in the male.

Personally for me, I find that I do tend to try to protect women that I already care for, and in fact, a few of them have remarked on it as "Chivalry". I don't know about that, but I feel okay about it, as I can't really help it...

No, cause I can't save them; If I try, the best I could do is fall into distress with the damsel.

I have been before. If I feel like I'm getting played, I don't much like it. If I feel like I'm being flirted with or they're trying to get my attention, I'm flattered.

Usually it's the first one. Where they just want something.

Doubt all of them are...plus I think they see it as a vunerability, therefore using it to their own advantage...I am mildly suspicious of a guys motives when it comes to us women,...most admit they don't understand us,yet some are genuine with concern,....hmmm...they baffle me!
