I can do better than that...a NINE letter word with ONE vowel.......STRENGTHS
but if you insist on a 7 letter word, my contribution is SHRILLS.
Just a later thought..."Y" is a vowel when it's the heart of a syllable..like "rhythm." Otherwise, it is a consonant!

You made me SCRATCH my head on that one. It's quite a STRETCH to come up with one.
Are there any STRINGS of seven letters with only one vowel that form a word? This is the kind of question I can ponder on my FLIGHTS home next month.

Here's one that's not a pleural, from http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/schlong:
schlong - a penis
Etymology: German schlange 'serpent'
That's a long word! And just one eye, too.
Now, I've got one for you -
What's a five letter word with no a, e, i, o, u or y?
