Why do people make fun of others who live in trailers?

Because they are narrow minded, insensitive and have a group mentality ie: one person says it is and the others follow like a flock of sheep!! ........ pitifull isn't it!! Nothing's wrong with living in a trailer ........... people simply within their means and as long as they are happy it's all good ......... :0)

Some of the trailers are very, very nice. I live in a very nice trailer, in a very nice park. I don't owe a dime on my home, which is about 5 years old. I won't say that all people who live in trailers aren't "trashy" But you find that with people who live in their own homes too. If a person takes pride in their home and the surroundings then there is nothing "trashy" about it. You find a lot of people who live in HOMES, that can be considered trash. The houses run down, the yard a mess, etc. Your home is what you make it. If you take pride in your home, whether it is a trailer, apartment, duplex or a house, then no one has the right to judge and call you "trash"

in my area it isn't hard to get a small home or decent apartment for the cost of a trailer. plus trailer parks are trashy so it gives it a bad rep. my mom lived in a trailer for a year after her divorce. she had to move cause her trailer and her car got vandalized almost everyday.

some people think people in a trailer is just trash that is just how it has been for many years but the truth is not everyone is trash in a trailer but some that talk this is just looking for someone to dish

Some of those double wide pre-fab "manufactured" homes are actually pretty nice. You're still about 1000% more likely to get hit by a tornado though.
