beers are $1 a bottle in O'Sheas and Casino Royale (both across the road from Caesars Palace center strip)

All you can eat Buffets are between $10-$15 in Flamingo, Harrahs and Ballys,(again all across the road from Caesars Palace center strip)

for new years i would recommend heading to the Voodoo lounge at Rio Hotel or ghostbar at the Palms. Both of these bars/clubs are located 50 stories above the ground and give a great view of the fireworks that go off at 12am on NYE

loads of other stuff to do here http://www.vegas.com/attractions

Ok donts. Keep your money close to you and only carry as little cash as youll need for the day. There are police all over the strip, but there are also alot of pickpockets. Stay on the strip and dont wander off. The strip is great, but there are some pretty rough neighborhoods that are not that far away.

Dos. Booze is expensive if your not gamling. Iff you looking for cheap drinks, settle down at the penny slots and play a few coins. Granted the service isnt as good as a high roller gets, but if you tip the waitresses well they will keep coming back. A beer is like $6 at the Harrahs owned casinos.

Food is reletively expensive there. I suggest filling up at a buffet once a day. The Rio has a good one for under $20. Stay away from Excaliber, Luxor, Flamingo and Ballys tho.....yuck!!!! Any of the others at the major hotels on the strip arent bad.

You usually get what you pay for in vegas, so if something seems to good to be true.....it probably is.

When you check into your hotel ask them for coupons. They will hook you up. Also if you plan on hitting the clubs ask for line jumper passes for the clubs your hotel chain owns.......it will save you a ton of time.

Stick with your group and you will have fun. Be patient though......NYE is a super busy time and your going to be waiting in a lot of lines

Being here on NYE is trouble enough. We have more people here on that evening than any other day of the year. It will be very very crowded. Not a good way to experience your first visit here. They close off the strip to traffic around 5PM. The casinos on the strip close and lock their doors that evening and you are only allowed in if you are staying there and have a room key to show. No glass or cans allowed on the strip that night. Everything has to be in plastic. Alcohol is allowed outside on the strip only. Wander off the strip with a drink and you will be busted.

I assume you already have your room booked. If not, then you will be in trouble because for the most part all rooms are taken for that night. Be prepared to show your ID everywhere especially since you are just 21 yrs old so have it handy at all times.

Better eat early that night too because it will be near impossible to get something to eat when everyone swamps in. They are expecting 400,000 people that night. They will have a great fireworks show that you can see from anywhere along the strip. Stay on the strip ... that is my best advice. Don't wander off.

Go to www.vegas.com to see all the things to do.

Have a safe and great time.

I will be watching from the comfort of my patio.

Just be smart! But my food for thought..... It will pretty cold outside! Last Jan we didn't get over 43 in the day time. Then at night around 18-25. My horses water would freeze every night. We also get windy, often!
