I haven't read a lot of books but the last one I read and I really loved it it's from a Croatian writer (so I'm not sure if u will find an English version of the book) named Marija JuriÄ Zagorka. The name of the book is "KÄi LotrÅ¡Äaka" what on english means "The daughter of LotrÅ¡Äak". The book is really great, maybe a bit long but it has really a ton of action... To tell u the main story is too hard because it's complicated by a ton of events... I really hope u read it and enjoy it!!

"The Milagro Beanfield War" by John Nichols. It fits the "magical realism" school of literature; a small community story, often very funny, always in some way political--
"All the Pretty Horses" by Cormac McCarthy. This man will win more awards than what he got for this particular book before he is through writing...
"Winterdance" by Gary Paulsen. True story of a man and his dogs training for and running the Iditarod, the 1180 mile sled-dog race into Alaskan wilderness. Good winter reading, especially If you sit cozy by a fire.

Go to the library and select something of interest...you don't really give us enough info to seriously make a suggestion...I could suggest some girly fluff stuff and you'd be more into "We Were Soldiers Once And Young"...see what I mean?
