It has been both positive and negative, by my own experiences, not by fact.
The only negative impact they have put on me, would be the non-white Hispanic people enforcing racism on me for being "white". But, other than that, they're good people just like everyone else. I can't hate them for their ignorance about me. They're probably good people.
I have even had issues with white-Hispanics who some how feel better and more cultured than every other European American. I don't get it. They're European American too, they just don't label themselves as such. But, not everyone is like that. I'm just going by my own experience with the vast amount of the Hispanic population in my area (southern California). I don't blame them all that much, there aren't many European Americans in Southern California, or at least in my area, which is dominantly Asian/Hispanic. So I can't be offended when people glare at me either. (Especially being with an Asian man, and being nine months pregnant). There are a lot of reasons they could treat me the way they do. But a lot of them seem like fairly nice decent people.

There are no hispanics where I live.
I've only met a few hispanics in my lifetime like less than 20. It was a mixed experience. Two were dirty old perverts and I had no interaction with the rest. All other Americans chatted with me but not any hispanics. But like I said I met 20 tops so it was a limited view.

The Hispanic population is only 10 percent, Caucasians are 50 percent, and Asians 40 percent in our area. The Hispanics I know is a plus because they have a sense of humor and don't take things so seriously. I think their food and culture is interesting. They do not want to be caught in a lie because it goes against their code of ethics.

Im hispanic and I used to live in a mostly hispanic community. I loved it. You feel comfortable being around your people. I may not look hispanic but believe me... I act like it, lol. I just hate when your trying to sleep and the floor is shaking from your neighbors playing Los Tigres too loud.... lol
I think people are too hard on hispanics. Mexico takes all the bad people from America... Killers, thieves, rapists... They all run to Mexico for asylum. So what is wrong with having hispanics in america. Them and the Native americans were the first people on this continent.

My neighborhood is close to 80% hispanic and I really never took much notice to it one or the other. Like all races it been a mixed experience bc theres just no way to love or hate and entire race. But the biggest positive I can think of is an end to McDonalds!!YAY! instead theres like a Pollo tropical on everycorner instead and the food and service is sooo much better

We have several Latino gangs active in the area: Lots of "tagging" and petty crime going on.
