Yes to the first, NO to the second.
I honestly believe that had Kerry been elected, THIS election would be about "voting Kerry back into office so he can finish the withdrawl from Iraq", not that dissimilar to Nixon in 72.
Withdraw the troops too early, and other things can kill your re-election. Remember how Bush was SO high in the polls in 1991 after the Gulf War, then lost the 92 general election? Yes, Perot WAS a factor, but if you play your hand too early, other things can kill you.
Kerry would still have some troops in, but the vast majority would find their way back in the US the summer of 2008, and we would all... just need to vote for Kerry so he can finish the job and bring the rest of our boys home!!

If Gore were pres. we wouldn't be in Iraq because he's to big of a coward to stand up for people who are being oppressed. If Kerry were pres. we would be out of Iraq but at what cost? we would lost many American lives and some new dictator would have stepped up and taken Saddam's place and killed more innocents because he wants to show them that they have nothing to hope for. In the end if we were such cowards as to pull out now our enemies would look at us as weak and begin attacking us on our territory and our people would die.

thank god neither of these liberals ever got close. if gore was president we wouldve had the same corruption as with clinton. remember he sat idly by and watched it happen.
if kerry were president we wouldve had the cowardice so aptly displayed in the capitol hearings videos and the consequences from it. they couldnt manage the iraq war correctly if you wrote them a manual.

If Al Gore were pres, another 250,000 kurds would be dead.
If Kerry were pres, there would be foreign nationals all over the world doing the work that Americans just won't do.

Why do you wish to know our thoughts on your speculations? Regardless of how many people agree with you, it will not make you any more or less correct. Agreement by itself, is not evidence. Therefore, absolutely nothing can be gained. Basically, what I am saying is that it is a pointless debate.

If Gore had stuck to his plan and fought to have a recount, America would not be in the huge mess she is in now.
Could have, should have, would have.
Let's hope the voters have grown smarter and vote a Democrat into the White House this time.

gore is a smart man, i dont think he would invade without first thinking through all the implications and he would have a couple of plans to get out of there.
