Try to remember the mistakes you made and let him know how to avoid them. Try to teach him how to respect yourself and others especially women. Most of all there are no breaks in life. Be firm and do not make him a mommies boy. He needs to learn lessons and discipline. If you have a Dad you respect to this day call him. Get his insight on how to handle situations and add your own spice then act on it. You can do it as a single mother. Just do not baby him.

I would say pray to God. No, seriously! My husband is the only son of a woman who was never married (idk either why I married him, but that is a question for another day!) and I am sure that God is the only reason he is not a hoodlum dead in some alley after selling drugs. His mom took him to church, and that is what made all the difference.
