A great film noir classic. I never get tired of watching it.
The classic ending line from Norma Desmond "All right, Mr DeMille, I'm ready for my close up."
If you like the movie you might want to check out "Gaslight".

(also known as Sunset Blvd.) is a 1950 American film noir containing elements of drama, horror, and black comedy. Directed and co-written by Billy Wilder, it was named for the famous boulevard of the same name that runs through Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. The plot centres on the efforts of faded movie star Norma Desmond to entrap the unsuspecting down-on-his-luck screenwriter Joe Gillis into her fantasy world in which she dreams of making a triumphant return to the screen. The film was nominated for eleven Academy Awards and won three; it is widely accepted as a classic, often cited as one of the most noteworthy films of American cinema.

Directed by Billy Wilder. Written by Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder.

It is considered to be a film noir. It is, by the way, quite a good movie. I've seen it several times and never get tired of it.

Oh sure, and its 2 steps away from being a horror film. Gloria Swanson should have turned up at the shower curtain with a big knife lol.
Not the most cheerful film I've ever seen - all a bit depressing!
