Does being actively involved in the accident count? I was young so I didn't fully understand the implications of the event, but everyone came off living, some had some injuries but none that were life threatening.

I would try to help them by relating what you saw so they can piece together what happened. I can't tell you how bad it is to lose a loved one in an accident and not be sure what happened. What you imagine is usually way worse than what was true. This goes for injuries too and injured cars if no one was hurt.

I'd stop and see if I could be of help.
If the accident hadn't been reported I would report it on my cell phone.
If police asked me to give a statement I would give one as best I recalled what happened.

You simply giveyour help were necessary. You make sure nobody is wounded, in case of any wounded just call the ambulence or carry the injured in the nearest hospital or clinic as short as that.

If you have a cell phone, call the police and then stay put. If you don't, first check to see if anyone is injured, then go somewhere and call police.

I would just call for help, and help them if needed.
