Here I am at 3:30 am answering your question. I obviously don't have the answer for insomnia or I'd be in bed! However, I'm retired and don't have a schedule to keep . I get to sleep easier if I get up and fix something to eat when I can't sleep. I make hot chocolate or a warm bagel with peanut butter, or pop some corn. But I don't want to gain weight because I have a severe spine problem to deal with. So I sit up. I can take 25mg. of Benadryl but then I have such bad dreams every time so I don't want to do that. BLAH !!
I guess you should talk to your doctor about it. Honey, you're too young to have to live with insomnia. Good luck.

The main symptom is sleep deprivation which can leave an insomniac feeling like exhausted in the day. An insomniac may not always experience worry at night, although stress, anxiety and worry are common factors.
Insomnia doesn’t develop overnight, it’s more of a learned negative habit. Sometimes an insomniac may lie in bed at night and not have any thoughts, other nights ‘racing thoughts.’
Insomnia is a complex issue to deal with hence why people find it so difficult to overcome. There’s also a lack of sleep education amongst sufferers and doctors. Inevitably insomnia sufferers often rely on sleeping pills because of this ad find that they become dependent and chronic users.

The chances are good that either you, or someone you know listens to the radio or a CD while they are going to sleep. Studies have shown that the use of a music sleep aid is incredibly beneficial.
When you use products intended to work with the natural rhythms and flow of your body instead of trying to change it, you are almost guaranteed better results. Another benefit to herbal or natural sleep aids is that you don't have to be concerned with unpleasant side effects or addiction.
Another great way to encourage healthy sleep is with the use of therapedic products. They are intended to support your body during sleep and make a comfortable resting spot for your back and joints.
Pillows, mattresses, and other bed accessories to encourage rest are available just about everywhere.
In addition to the ideas above, consider using the Sleep So Good cream to get some all natural relief.

Insomnia is often caused by fear, stress, anxiety, medications, herbs, caffeine, depression or sometimes for no apparent reason. Make sure your bedroom is quiet and dark. Soak a tablespoon of mint leaves in a cup of water for an hour, drink every night. Check out http://useinfo-insomnia.blogspot.com/ for more info

Try iron pills, but don't take anything else in the afternoon, not even C. If you think about stuff in bed, and that's keeping you up, get up and write it down on a note pad, it will help you put the subject to rest.
